There are several criteria for a successful inn including locational qualities, physical assets, quality services and innkeepers' skills. A feasibility study will evaluate each criterion and determine both business potential and valuation. We have completed studies throughout the United States including Kennebunkport, Maine; Southampton, New York; and Weston, Vermont.

Start Up Assistance

For those with minimal capital, a start up approach is a viable way to become an innkeeper. Since the failure rate is extremely high, it's imperative that one lay a solid business foundation. One half of all start up B&B's fail within two years; two-thirds within five years. Are you structured for success? It is crucial to understand the criteria to become a successful innkeeper and business person.

Buying Assistance

Location, location, location. Good advice, but not the whole story. Buying an inn also should include NUMBERS, NUMBERS, NUMBERS... plus several other pertinent factors. Before you buy, one must make accurate and realistic projections and/or determine that an existing business is on solid ground. Secondly, many properties are inaccurately priced. We will gladly review a business financial to help determine a fair market price.

Property Assessment

We can review and tour a specific property to determine its strengths and weaknesses. We strongly recommend this service to those who need insights as to how an inn should function and how its location will dictate its vitality.
